Fiera Milano announces the 2025 edition of the Milan International Building Alliance (Miba), uniting four major exhibitions dedicated to construction, vertical mobility, security, and digitalization. From November 19 to 22, over 1,250 companies from 38 countries will gather to shape the future of sustainable and intelligent buildings.

Milan, October 16, 2025 — Sustainability, energy efficiency, and urban regeneration are now at the heart of the European construction agenda. The Milan International Building Alliance (Miba) 2025, organized by Fiera Milano, brings together four major events — GEE (Global Elevator Exhibition), Made Expo, Smart Building Expo (SBE), and Sicurezza — to represent the full spectrum of the building and smart city ecosystem.

Spanning eight halls, hosting more than 1,250 exhibitors and over 100 conferences and training sessions, Miba stands as the reference event for Europe’s construction industry. Exhibitors from Germany, Spain, Poland, France, and China confirm its truly international scope.

According to the Third Miba Observatory, developed by the Politecnico di Milano, the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative will mobilize over €20 billion between 2025 and 2027, including €2.5 billion in Italy alone.

“Miba is the result of an integration process that brings together previously separate markets, transforming innovation and know-how into concrete business opportunities,” said Paola Sarco, CEO of Made Eventi and Head of Building & Industry Exhibitions at Fiera Milano.

The Miba Observatory: European investment outlook for 2025–2027

The Politecnico di Milano’s study identifies the New European Bauhaus (NEB) as a key driver of transformation in the building industry. The NEB Facility, a European funding mechanism, is expected to mobilize around €240 million annually, equally split between research and project implementation. Its multiplier effect could generate up to 30 times the initial investment value — an estimated €7 billion per year, or €20 billion over the three-year period.

These resources aim to stimulate innovation in public, educational, residential, and cultural buildings, encouraging projects inspired by the NEB’s three core values: sustainability, beauty, and inclusiveness.

The impact of NEB investments extends across Miba’s four core sectors:

  • Sustainable architecture (Made Expo): 25% of NEB investments, equal to €5.25 billion in Europe and €680 million in Italy.

  • Digitalization and smart buildings (SBE): 12% of total investment, around €2.7 billion in Europe and €350 million in Italy.

  • Vertical mobility (GEE): 2.5% share, corresponding to €500 million in Europe and €65 million in Italy.

  • Security and fire protection (Sicurezza): 5.5% share, totaling €1.2 billion in Europe and €150 million in Italy.

The four pillars of Miba 2025

GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition (November 19–21, Fiera Milano)
The international hub for vertical and horizontal mobility will feature over 100 companies — 20% from abroad — presenting innovations in safety, sustainability, and predictive maintenance, supported by certified training and B2B networking.

Made Expo (November 19–22, Fiera Milano)
Italy’s leading event for construction and architecture gathers more than 650 companies from 29 countries. The show focuses on building safety, sustainable materials, and artificial intelligence applied to design, featuring the Made Sustainability Prize, the Festival dell’Edilizia Leggera (FEL), and the “AI – Architectural Intelligence” talk on how AI is reshaping design.

Smart Building Expo (November 19–21, Fiera Milano)
Dedicated to technological integration and smart cities, SBE will host 140 exhibitors from 17 countries. It will explore the “twin transition” — decarbonization, electrification, and digital innovation — with dedicated areas for renewable energy and smart lighting solutions.

Sicurezza (November 19–21, Fiera Milano)
Europe’s benchmark event for security and fire protection will feature 340 exhibitors from 26 countries. SICUREZZA 2025 emphasizes intelligent, integrated, and interconnected safety systems, IoT-based fire detection, and smart surveillance. Training programs include the Cyber Day, Security Day, and Job in Security Day initiatives.

Miba 2025 reaffirms Milan’s position as the European capital of sustainable and digital construction — where technology, security, and environmental responsibility converge to shape the future of living spaces.
